I've been scoping cars all week, looking for old Ford (and Volkswagen) logos. No luck. All I see are the "new" versions. I remember a straight line across the "F" and maybe the "o" was closed, if I'm not mistaken. I remember looking at the "F"and tracing it in my mind when I was learning how to write cursive as a little girl. There wasn't that little curlicue there. On the internet, there's not much to be found of the old logo. but I've got these two.

I found the old logo on the side of my ford truck. What's weird is the rest of the logos on the car (front, back, foot area) have the new logo.
