Mandela Effect Proof-ish: Tank Man

                                                              Video Cut at 00:59

One of the biggest Mandela Effects is the fact that many people remember "Tank Man", the student protester in the Tienanmen Square massacre, being run over. I am one of these people.

In 1989, I was a bad-ass teenager who was ready to "fight the power" and stick it to the man, so this incident was very heart-felt for me. Tank Man was a true hero because he died fighting for his rights.

Now, they say he's still alive, although tons of people on the internet and people I know personally saw the video of him getting run over live on air. I never saw him actually get run over. I only saw up to the part right before the tragic incident because it was too graphic to show on the TV news.

Even in the PBS documentary on Tienanmen Sq. that I saw about 5 or 6 years ago, they made a disclaimer saying that they would cut out the "graphic footage" of him being run over. Of course, this documentary is nowhere to be found now.

When I heard about the Mandela Effect and that Tank Man was still alive, my first thought was, Mandela Effect or the government(s) rewriting history. I don't know which, but I have found something strange in these current videos. In this current reality, Tank Man actually gets up on top of the tank.

Right before he gets up on the tank is the moment that I and others remember him getting run over, so it's suspicious that in the current videos, there is a cut right at that moment. My theory is that they cut the film right before he got run over and then spliced in earlier footage of the incident to make it look like he didn't die.

If I recall right, Tank Man got up on the tank at the beginning of the incident then another protester pulled him away. Next was the iconic moment where he went back and stayed in front of the tank, going left and right to block it. This explains why many people don't remember him climbing on the tank, as this would have only been seen in the extended video (which is of course, nowhere to be found). You can see the cut here:

In Wang Wei Lin Tienanmen Square Tank Man, there is a cut at 0:59.

In The Tank Man of Tienanmen Square, there is a stop motion at 3:54, then the video continues.

In Tank Man (now with more raw footage), the cut is at 0:51.

In the video that proclaims Tank Man did NOT die in Tiananmen Square, you can also see the cut at 0:51.

                                                           Etc. Etc.

My theory seems highly plausible and this is PROOF of at least editing the video. Almost proof that someone or something is trying to hide the fact that Tank Man did indeed die on this day.

  1. I do believe Wang Weilin died on that day, nothing of any of the things people say from remembering his death doesn't add up to what really happened to him in this reality. Somethings going to happen soon and i think people who are aware of this can feel it coming. just dont know what it is.

    1. Even my boyfriend said that he saw the video of him getting run over. If he hadn't died, there wouldn't have been as much controversy surrounding the incident. Running over an innocent, unarmed student was the big deal! Thanks for reading!

  2. I thought mandela effect was a joke until someone mentioned about tankman. I did see the video of tank man a few years ago but not like this, he was ran over and died instantly, 5 or 6 tanks continues ran over him and there was blood all over the place. I remembered that feeling was so horrible and I was about to puke. But now, seriously? What the heck is going on? I can't even believe in my eyes. I don't mean I want him dead but this is not how it supposed to be and not my reality.

  4. Hello

I was in highschool in Colombia, about 1995, and in religion class, teacher showed us a catholic video, whose introduction was full of very hard and violent clips, children starving, helicopters firing missiles, etc, and the tank over legs of the boy. It was unsettling for me. He tapped the chase of the vehicle trying to ask for mercy. I would never forget that.
For that then, in my country did exist not internet, but about 1998 it came. We were all amazed by it, and the possibility to find almost everything. I remembered the tank boy and wanted to look for it but did not find. Years later, I searched again and found the video without the run over. And along the years I searched again and again, finding the same vid.
About 20y after the video in my highschool, I read about mandela Effect and its examples. When I saw the Tiananmen square and the pictures, and the fact many people remember the run over as well, my blood came frozen.

    1. Like all Mandela Effects, this was something that gripped the world at that time. There are too many people who saw him get run over or knew the story of him being run over, so they can't pretend it never happened. Too many people know the truth!
