Many people remember one of America's most popular peanut butter brands as "Jiffy", not "Jif". I I have a vague memory of "Jiffy" and several color stripes under the longer word, but I grew up with the slogan, "Choosy moms choose "Jif", so I can't be certain.
In any case, it must have been "Jiffy" in some reality because so many people remember it. It has been referenced in pop culture so much, including restaurants that serve the infamous Jiffy Burger, a hamburger with peanut butter on it.
