Probably a Mandela Effect that most people don't notice because no one can remember how the #$@*! to spell the name of this ice cream anyway! In 2017, we have Häagen-Dazs, but once upon a time, there was no "z", it was Häagen-Daas.
I'm sure that almost anyone putting the name of this ice cream in print would have double checked the spelling since it's nothing but a made up, pseudo-Danish name invented by a man from the Bronx.
If are all "misremembering" or making mistakes, as ME naysayers would say, then we'll find people who gave their businesses the wrong name and people who don't know the name of the company they work for.
