Another spelling change that completely erases the meaning the word. What used to be "Funions", a play on words with "fun" and "onions" is now Funyuns. ME spellings seem to keep dumbing us down, Maybe in the future "onion" will be spelled "unyun". who knows? BTW, the bag didn't used to have those white diagonal stripes either!
Writers of the Big Bang Theory understood the play on words.
This brewery offers a Funion-flavored beer. (Reminiscent of restaurants that serve a Jiffy Burger, a hamburger with peanut butter, named after a peanut butter that was never called Jiffy.)
